SOUTHERLAND PLACE RENOVATION

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This property required a major renovation to accommodate the Owner’s need to care for an elderly parent. The most challenging requirement was to create a mother suite that could be private, but within the reach of other family members. The new house is completely accessible. TRI Architecture created a layout around a covered terrace, which is surrounded by the kitchen, master bedroom, and mother’s suite, creating a central space for the family to gather. The kitchen’s 14’−0" high ceiling brings a perception of openness to the single story house.
