A.H. Parker High School Library Interior Design Project

Birmingham, Alabama

Client: Birmingham City Schools

Architect: Evan Terry Associates and NHB Group

Project size: 1,100 students. 149,250 sf

T•R•I Architecture provided interior design services for the new high school facility. This project has historic significance, since Parker High School was the first black high school in the city. The new architectural design embraces the heritage of the institution and provides state of the art facilities. Special attention was giving to the color scheme, reflecting the school traditional colors. Changes in accent colors provides a break for the long corridors, and a way to identify the different areas of the building. The public is welcomed by the school mascot medallion on the floor.
