NEW ROBINSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Birmingham, Alabama

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Client: Birmingham City Schools

Project size: 625 students, 65,000 sf

T•R•I collaborated with Fuller & Thompson, Architects, Inc. in designing and developing plans for a new elementary school to replace the obsolete existing facility. The main task concerning Robinson Elementary School was to design a single story building in a difficult site, with a limited budget. The design took into consideration the fact that the existing school facility would remain operational during construction. The design team met both, functional and budget requirements. The new school completed in 2006.
